USE OF BUILDINGS: MEMBERS (Excludes Weddings)

PLEASE PRINT THIS FORM, FILL IN THE REQUIRED INFORMATION AND GIVE IT TO A TRUSTEE AS SPECIFIED BELOW.

Any person using the buildings for other than regularly scheduled meetings or church sponsored activities must abide by the following regulations:

 

  • A funeral is considered a church activity.
  • Any activities or events that are an extension of our Church and Sunday School ministries shall be considered church sponsored activities.
  • Weddings are an exception for which members will be charged cleaning fees (see separate form).
  • The buildings are for personal use only.  A member can not reserve the building for any private or public organization or individual non-member for the purpose of bypassing associate fees.
  • Anyone wishing to use the church buildings must complete and submit a use of buildings contract.  A Trustee will be appointed as contact person, and will advise the member of the status of the request.

 

1.         Request for the use of buildings must be given to a Board of Trustees member at least two weeks in advance of the event. The name and phone   number of the user, date, time and type of event must be included.

 

2.         Use of the buildings is granted on a first come-first served basis.

 

3.         The Trustees shall advise the Sexton after permission has been granted.

 

4.         The Trustees shall write the name of the person responsible for the event on the calendar in the Church Office.

 

5.         The requesting member is responsible for opening and closing of buildings and   cleaning, as well as setting up tables and chairs and moving equipment according to their needs. The same person is to ensure that all furniture and/or equipment is returned to its original location immediately following the event.  All kitchen utensils are to be washed and put away. All trash is to be placed in the dumpster outside. All food for event is to be removed from the building, including food in refrigerator.

6.         All children must be carefully supervised by adults in charge of the event.

 

7.         The Sexton shall be responsible for heating or A/C.
